Taneja led a daring squadron of Mystère aircraft deep into Pakistani territory to strike the highly fortified Sargodha Air Base—the heart of Pakistan’s air defense. The strike shook the enemy’s core, taking out multiple aircraft, fuel depots, and radar systems in a matter of minutes. #Sargodha successive air strikes that followed not only demonstrated India’s air power but also redefined its military resolve. #ABDevayya - Among the squadron was Squadron Leader A.B. Devayya, who etched his name in history with unmatched courage. As the Indian jets were returning, they were chased by a superior Pakistani F-104 Starfighter. Knowing the risk, Devayya turned back to confront the enemy alone. In a gritty aerial dogfight, he outmaneuvered the Starfighter and shot it down, but in doing so, lost his own life. His sacrifice ensured the safe return of his squadmates and proved the skill and bravery of Indian pilots. #It was not just a mission—it was a message: India would go beyond borders to defend itself, and its warriors would do so with valor and grit that legends are made of.
