In Delhi, a flag march was conducted in Shaheen Bagh, while in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, protests against the Waqf Amendment Bill took place after Friday prayers. The police detained 50 individuals in connection with the demonstration. Also On April 4, Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials raided the residences and offices of Gokulam Gopalan, a producer of the Malayalam film 'L2: Empuraan', in Chennai and Kochi. The raids are reportedly linked to alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) concerning his chit fund company, 'Shri Gokulam Chits and Finance Company Limited'. 'L2: Empuraan', the sequel to 'Lucifer', has recently been at the center of controversy due to its depiction of Gujarat riots and critiques of right-wing politics. In response to the uproar, lead actor Mohanlal has expressed regret and announced plans to remove the contentious scenes from the film.
