But their demand was for ₹30,000 and permanent service, raising questions over what has actually been accepted. We also look at the announcement of 15,012 teacher vacancies by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, including 12,405 Assistant Teacher and 2,607 PGT posts. While the recruitment is being seen as a major opportunity for candidates, questions remain over vacancies in rural schools and whether the new recruitment addresses the larger shortage. The bulletin also covers the controversy surrounding the Cockroach Janta Party’s ‘School Theek Karo’ campaign in Noida, including Saurav Das’s claim about government schools being shut and the district education department’s denial. Finally, we examine the UP Cabinet’s ₹300-crore plan to develop 14,429 primary schools as smart schools, which works out to around ₹2.08 lakh per school.
