We have been so inspired by politicians - that our hypocrisy doesn't have any limits now. When someone will tell us that in 2023 - 5 journalists were killed and 226 were targeted by state agencies, non-state political actors, anti-social elements, and criminals across India - we will not bat an eyelid. But if an international ranking puts us at 160 / 180 in press freedom - all hell brakes-lose Mukesh Chandrakar's brutal end is a reminder to us - how genuine / small town journalism is being eradicated. Either you have to sell your soul and those who chose to work and use Digital Broadcast as a tool - are being silenced by other means.
