Three JPSC members Dr Ajita Bhattacharya, Dr Anima Hansda and Dr Jamal Ahmed have resigned from their posts and submitted their resignations to the Governor. The development comes amid an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in JPSC examinations. According to reports, the Jharkhand CID is investigating the matter, and the three members were also being questioned as part of the probe. Dr Ajita Bhattacharya is the wife of JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya, making her resignation politically significant as well. The exact reasons behind the resignations have not been disclosed so far. The situation will become clearer once the Governor takes a decision on the resignations and the state government decides on the future arrangement at JPSC.
