A shocking case of alleged domestic violence has emerged from Chhattisgarh's Koriya district, where a woman claims she was brutally assaulted, humiliated, and tortured by her husband after she chose to live separately from him. According to the victim, she was dragged on the ground, beaten with slippers, kicked repeatedly, had her head forcibly shaved, and was smeared with engine oil. The accused allegedly recorded the entire incident on video. The woman also alleged that her husband forced their son to urinate on her and later made her consume urine. The victim, Tara Bai, told police that she had been living separately from her husband, Jitendra Ghasiya, for nearly a year due to ongoing marital disputes. The incident reportedly took place in Katkona Pandopara village under the Patna police station area of Chhattisgarh's Koriya district. Following the complaint and the circulation of the video on social media, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), added further charges after reviewing the evidence, and arrested the accused. He has been sent to judicial custody while the investigation continues.
